My Top 5 Blogposts for 2025

2025 is coming to a close, and what a year it’s been.

The return of Donald Trump to the White House. The assassination of Charlie Kirk. And the war in Gaza (among many other issues). I often wish we lived in more settled times.

Key quote:

‘Considering such a horrific murder that has taken over our social media feeds, it’s impossible not to compare this with another death captured on social media: the killing of George Floyd on that fateful summer day in 2020. Within a day of Floyd’s killing, BLM-inspired protests had broken out across America, quickly devolving into looting and property damage. But, in contrast, no violence from Kirk’s supporters. No rampaging young men. No smashed windows. No torched cars. And so, it’s worth asking the question: Why? ‘

1) 5 Uncomfortable Truths Every Parent (and Church) Should Know About Male Child Abusers

Key quote:

‘While we might wish that male paedophiles are few and far between, the research says they’re more prevalent than we might expect: ‘Men with sexual feelings towards children, who had sexually offended against children [make up] almost one in twenty men in the Australian community.’’
